ECC LOGISTICS
ECC Logistics is used in a company to ensure that the required resources are provided in the required amount, place and time. It does not matter in which sector a company is; to provide success it needs a real logistics management.
Logistics module is one of the main parts of ECC. It consists all the processes from raw material to manufacturing and delivery.
Logistics includes a complete integration of stocks, orders and sales information to be able to control and support procurement, manufacturing, sales decisions.
Logistics is strongly in integration with Finance and Human Resources modules.

ECC-MM (Material Management)
Using MM module, all the data related with purchasing, manufacturing, stocks can be processed. It provides, purchasing and stock holding to be processed in an integrated way and aims at stock quantity and stock costs to be decreased.
Stock on hand will be monitored continuously; as a result usage of MM prevents any possible shortages and bottlenecks that may occur in the future. If there are multiple locations, transportation costs as well as stock costs will be decreased.
ECC-PP (Production Planning)
Production Planning module can be considered as the most comprehensive module in SAP ECC. It includes managing of production planning processes, methodology and objectives (scheduling, quantity determination, production ways, material to use etc.)
PP works with MM and SD modules in an integrated. It focuses on all processes of manufacturing like planning (requirement and production), capacity planning, and manufacturing - assembly orders.
ECC-SD (Sales and Distribution)
Sales and Distribution module plays a key part in SAP ECC as it provides customer demands to be covered on time and with right quantity. At the same time, SD is also important for costing, capacity planning and control of SAP ECC.
ECC-PM (Plant Maintenance)
SAP PM ( Plant Maintenance ) is a functional module which handles the all maintenance relevant activities, in integrated fashion with other logistics activities. The R/3 Plant Maintenance (PM) application component provides you with a comprehensive software solution for all maintenance activities that are performed within a company. Supports cost-efficient maintenance methods, such as risk-based maintenance or preventive maintenance, and provides comprehensive outage planning and powerful work order management.
